Bradley Beal is one of the best shooting guards in the league, and he has certainly shown us that he can get buckets with the best of the best. Beal came second in the scoring title race, and he has averaged more than 30 PPG for the second year in a row. Beal is currently 28 and in his prime, and he definitely seems like a player who could have a huge year.

Quinton Mayo of NBCSports Washington has recently reported that Bradley Beal has some big goals for the 2021-22 season. In terms of individual accolades, Bradley Beal wants to win the MVP award and make the first All-Defensive team. However, Beal's main goal is to make a playoff run and win some games in the postseason with his team.

Most people wouldn't have Bradley Beal as an MVP candidate next season. But if things go right for him and the Washington Wizards, he could certainly be in that conversation. Assuming that Bradley Beal puts up similar numbers to 2020-21, and the Wizards are a top 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, it could be possible. His MVP case in that scenario would be boosted due to the fact that most people wouldn't have expected him to bring the Washington Wizards to a top 4 seed. Former coach Scott Brooks has previously stated that Bradley Beal could be an MVP-caliber player, and perhaps this is the season where he gets real consideration for the award.

In terms of making an All-Defensive team, it'll definitely be difficult for Beal to beat out some of the more established defenders in the league. Beal is more well-known for his offense than his defense, and it'll be interesting to see if he can play defense at a high enough level to warrant the voters picking him for a team.

Making a playoff run seems like an attainable goal. Even if the Wizards traded away Russell Westbrook, they still have solid players such as Spencer Dinwiddie, Kyle Kuzma, and Montrezl Harrell surrounding Beal. This team could be dangerous, but their success will rely on some players being able to step into bigger roles on the offensive end. If that happens, it's quite possible we see the Wizards surprise many people come playoff time.

We'll see if Bradley Beal is able to win any of these awards, but it's definitely good to see him setting high goals for himself. Bradley Beal has been underrated across the league despite being an extremely prolific scorer: perhaps this is the year that ends.
