The Oklahoma City Thunder entered the 2025 NBA Summer League with some of the more intriguing players to watch.

Oklahoma City finished with a 4-1 record in Las Vegas and made it to the semifinals before losing to the Charlotte Hornets.

Unfortunately for the Thunder, their first-round pick, Thomas Sorber, was unable to suit up as he continues to recover from an injury but they had many other players who stood out this summer.

Ajay Mitchell

Mitchell played a key role for the Thunder last season off the bench before he suffered a toe injury midway through the season, and he entered the Summer League looking to prove he deserves to have a large role next season.

In three Summer League games, the 23-year-old guard averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 51.4 % from the field and 36.4% from three.

After the three games, the Thunder had seen enough as they shut him down and he likely earned himself a larger role off the bench next season.

Branden Carlson

Carlson played well for the Thunder on a two-way contract last season but he was looking to make an impact this summer.

In three games, the 26-year-old forward averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 56.7% from the field and 50.0% from three.

Despite this, Carlson is still going to be on a two-way deal next season and with the Thunder adding Sorber in the draft, he will likely spend most of the season in the G League.

Nikola Topic

All eyes were on Topic as he made his NBA debut after missing his rookie season due to a torn ACL and he did not disappoint.

In three games, the 19-year-old guard averaged 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 36.1% from the field and 33.3% from three.

Topic is expected to have a large role for the Thunder next season off the bench behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Brooks Barnhizer

Barnhizer shined for the Thunder during the Summer League as the 23-year-old guard showed his offensive and defensive skills.

In five games, Barnhizer averaged 12.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game while shooting 46.0% from the field and 15.4% from three.

While Barnhizer surprisingly struggled shooting the ball, he made up for it on the defensive end and proved that he could be one of the steals of the draft.
