Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James received a grim prediction about his future in the league. After being selected with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 draft, the guard has put in the work to establish himself as a starter in the league.
However, things haven’t been as smooth as he would have wished. The jury is still out on whether Bronny can develop into a quality role player. Others believe that his days in the association are numbered.
After only two years at the highest level, James is predicted to be out of the league sooner rather than later.
Amid rumors and speculation involving his father, LeBron James, Bronny James received a grim prediction about his future. Rucker Haringey of FanSided floated the possibility of Bronny leaving the league in a couple of years.
“If LeBron James leaves Los Angeles it does diminish the chances of Bronny getting another full season to showcase his wares with the Lakers,” Haringey wrote.
“The real problem for the younger James is that he lacks the talent to be a quality rotation player in the NBA. That, more than his father’s career decisions, will ultimately wash him out of the league sometime in the next two years.”
While he has shown flashes, Bronny has mostly done it in garbage time against third-string players. In 64 NBA games, he's averaged 2.4 points and 1.0 assists per game in 7.4 minutes per outing.
