Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers are set to open their 2025 NBA Summer League - Las Vegas on Thursday night, facing off against No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks.

It will be James' third game he's played this summer, as the Lakers finished with a 2-1 record in the California Classic.

James played in limited fashion during those games as he looks to ramp up his conditioning, and is expected to play more in the highly anticipated matchup on Thursday night.

After the Lakers' conclusion to the California Classic, Bronny James spoke with the press on what to expect from him as he enters his second year in the league.

"To be honest, just trying to go out there and be myself," James said. "I’ve always been told that I have a leader kind of personality, so just trying to go out there and be the right example for my team and everything else will follow. And the guys…we have an amazing group of guys that are very coachable and very good people so there’s no problem whatsoever when it comes to that."

The No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft gets a lot more spotlight than other second-round picks as he's the son to one of the league's greatest players of all time, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.

The game between Bronny James' Lakers and Cooper Flagg's Mavericks will have a lot of hype into it, as it's Flagg's professional debut.

According to Legion Hoops on X, "Bronny James vs. Cooper Flagg is the hottest Summer League ticket of all-time."

Bronny James will join a high-powered Lakers team that also includes Dalton Knecht, Darius Bazley, and current scoring leader Cole Swider
