Bronny James struggles in Lakers’ loss to Mavs

The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks tonight in the Summer League. This wasn’t just any Summer League game, however.

This was the matchup of Cooper Flagg and Bronny James. Would Bronny step his game up to prove he has a brighter future?

Bronny opened the scoring, hitting his first shot, a step-back over Flagg. He followed that up by hitting a three in Flagg’s face.

It appeared that Bronny was going to have himself a huge game, but that basically was his night. After scoring five quick points on 2-2 shooting, Bronny scored just three points for the remainder of the game on 0-6 shooting, including 0-5 from three.

The Lakers lost 87-85, failing in the clutch as Bronny missed a three as time expired.

Bronny is still trying to find his way in the league. He won’t have the freedom Flagg will have, but maybe Bronny can develop into a solid role player, helping his team win an NBA championship.
