Bucks acquire Patrick Beverley from Sixers, Beverley confirms
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks are acquiring veteran guard Patrick Beverley in a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Beverley confirmed the news by posting about the trade on social media. Milwaukee is sending guard Cam Payne and a second-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Beverley, Wojnarowski and Shams Charania of The Athletic added.

Beverley, 35, is in his first season with the 76ers. He’s sure to add experience and toughness to the Bucks’ backcourt — just as he does wherever he goes.

Both Beverley and Payne are making the veteran’s minimum and possess expiring contracts.

Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel , trading Beverley may mean the Sixers are confident about signing potential Charlotte Hornets buyout candidate Kyle Lowry for the backcourt.
