The Milwaukee Bucks are holding onto some backcourt depth, agreeing to a two-year, $11 million deal with free agent guard Kevin Porter Jr., according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Porter declined a $2.55 million player option over the weekend to test the open market and quickly returned to the Bucks. His deal reportedly includes a player option for the 2026–27 season, giving him the chance to re-enter free agency next summer if he chooses.

Porter, 24, was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers in February and went on to average 11.7 points in 30 games with the Bucks. He could play an even more prominent role next season with Damian Lillard out following Achilles surgery.

More details on Milwaukee’s plans and Porter’s role are expected to emerge as free agency continues.
