The Milwaukee Bucks have not been among the league’s elite on the court this season, but they continue to excel in how they deliver the in-arena experience. For the second consecutive year, Milwaukee was recognized as one of the top teams in that category, earning a 2026 Game Experience Satisfaction Award at the NBA’s annual sales and marketing meetings in January.
“The surveys span “the moment people arrive down at Deer District to the end of the game and their full experience,”” according to Bucks’ chief marketing officer, Dustin Godsey via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
As of March 15, Milwaukee still held the No. 2 spot in the league with a 96% overall game experience satisfaction rating, according to Godsey. Not long after that, though, the Milwaukee Bucks secured their first losing season since 2015-16, and within days, they were officially knocked out of playoff contention for the first time in a decade.
Milwaukee went through a chaotic season that extended well beyond their win-loss record. The roster shakeup that began in 2024-25 carried into the following offseason, and once play began, a wave of injuries disrupted any sense of stability, including setbacks for Giannis Antetokounmpo. As the year unraveled, speculation about the star’s future only intensified and became a major storyline.
Even with all of those challenges, fan satisfaction at Bucks games remained among the highest in the league.
Since March 15, the Bucks were outperforming league averages in several fan experience categories, according to Godsey. Merchandise satisfaction stood at 82% compared with the league average of 69%, in-game entertainment scored 86% versus 81% league-wide, and venue staff received an impressive 95%, well above the league average of 89%.
The other teams that earned Game Experience Satisfaction awards were the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Detroit Pistons, added Godsey.
