Bucks Plan to Host Workouts For Draft Prospects Amid Trade Talk With Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks have started to plan for any possible outcome of their offseason. One of the main concerns for the Bucks is Giannis Antetokounmpo's future. After a first-round exit, many speculate that the star forward won't stay in Milwaukee and will request a trade over the summer.

The Bucks have started to brace themselves. There have been plenty of trade rumors on where Antetokounmpo could potentially end up. Additionally, the front office will have a conversation with the nine-time All-Star in the offseason, ESPN's Shams Charania reported. He will be with his representatives, Giorgios Panou and Alex Saratsis.

Heading into the offseason, the Bucks have reportedly started planning to host workouts for some top 8 NBA draft prospects.

On Monday, Gery Woelfel confirmed the report on X. According to Woelfel, the organization is getting ready if Antetokounmpo requests a trade out of Milwaukee.

"I’ve been told by multiple sources the Bucks are taking steps in the event Giannis Antetokounmpo moves on," Woelfel posted. "One of those steps is bringing some projected top 8 draft prospects to Milwaukee before the June 25-26 NBA draft."

However, one thing to note is that the Bucks do not have a first-round pick this year.

"The Bucks, as of now, don’t even have a first-round pick in this year’s draft."

This hints that the Bucks could trade Antetokounmpo to a high draft pick if he asks out.

Earlier reports reveal the organization's general manager, Jon Horst, will make the most out of a potential deal with the franchise superstar. Sam Amick of The Athletic reported that Horst will "go for blood" to try and do right for the Bucks.

"Like, they want every scenario to gut the other team. And Jon Horst is going to go for blood here, I’m telling you," Amick said.

Antetokounmpo is a superstar, and the Bucks could seek a significant amount of assets or players in return.
