The Milwaukee Bucks closed out their 2024-25 regular-season campaign with eight consecutive victories, finishing the year with a 48-34 record and securing the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks' strong finish came in large part due to some elite play from two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who averaged a triple-double over his team's final four games.

Antetokounmpo averaged 27.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 10.0 assists per game as the Bucks powered through the finish line in 2024-25.

Behind this stellar play, Antetokounmpo was named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week — marking his second consecutive honor.

The Bucks took to social media to react to this announcement.

"Your BACK-TO-BACK Eastern Conference Player of the Week," the team wrote on X.

Antetokounmpo finished his 12th regular-season campaign averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. This marks the third time he's averaged at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists per game, passing Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson in such seasons.

With the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bucks will matchup against the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers in the first round of the postseason.

“I love competing,” Antetokounmpo said of his upcoming playoff campaign. “I love the feeling of being nervous before the game, the feeling of your team depending on you, the feeling of an organization and the city that you represent depending on you – that weight that you feel on your shoulders because the moment that you win, you feel incredible.

“And for me, playing in the playoffs is always (a) win-win situation. That's how I view it because even when I lose, I always try to look back and see things that I could do better, try to improve in the offseason and come back and be stronger. So, I always have a great perspective in both ways.”

Game 1 of the Bucks-Pacers series will tipoff at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday.
