Since getting drafted by the team in 2013, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has developed into one of the most dominant players the NBA has ever seen.
Throughout his Bucks tenure, Antetokounmpo is a nine-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team member, a five-time All-Defensive Team selection, and a two-time MVP. Above all else, he is a one-time NBA Champion after bringing the Bucks their second title in franchise history in 2021.
Since winning it all, however, things have not been great for the Bucks. They have not made it back to the Eastern Conference Finals since, and their future looks grim, especially following Damian Lillard's Achilles injury.
This could be a busy offseason for the Bucks, particularly regarding their best player. NBA insider Chris Haynes recently revealed Antetokounmpo and the team will meet next week to discuss his future.

If the Bucks do decide to entertain trade offers for Antetokounmpo, he will have many suitors. This could include the Brooklyn Nets, who have been rumored to have interest in the Bucks star for a while (h/t Brian Lewis of the New York Post).
Following the news of Antetokounmpo and the Bucks planning to meet, along with other reports linking him to Brooklyn, a new report has surfaced. According to NBA reporter Gery Woelfel, Milwaukee is "taking steps in the event" Antetokounmpo departs this offseason.
One of these reported steps is Milwaukee bringing in top-eight draft prospects. The Nets notably have the No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, as pointed out by NY-based reporter Billy Reinhardt.
Top-8 is a convenient cutoff. Shouldn’t overlook it. https://t.co/f0sC5iBXuV

It is worth noting that Woelfel is a controversial figure among Bucks fans, with many calling out his inconsistent track record. That said, it not unlikely that Milwaukee is at least familiarizing itself with potential top-eight picks, considering any Antetokounmpo deal could very likely return one of those selections.
Trade rumors involving Antetokounmpo will be important to follow in the offseason as a deal coming to fruition would change the landscape of the NBA.
