Will Giannis Antetokounmpo leave or stay with the Milwaukee Bucks? Well, this simple question has been bugging the fans for a long time now. Currently, the rumors all over suggest that a trade is incoming for the big man. And a lot of teams, like that of the Los Angeles Lakers, too, have shown significant interest.
Surprisingly, no concrete news on an Antetokounmpo trade has surfaced so far. And one of the biggest reasons for the same is the price. It is expected that the Bucks will set a hefty price on their star player. But the lack of clarity has left competing franchises confused about which exact deal they are looking at.
“I had one team tell me that the Bucks essentially told them ‘We want you to blow us away,’ but it was never given what that means aside from maybe 4, 5, 6 first-round picks,” said Shams Charania in his recent report.

Surely, all of this back and forth has made the situation extremely tough for Antetokounmpo to find a trade. And amidst all this, head coach Doc Rivers pointed out how the ‘Greek Freak’ will remain loyal to the Bucks.
Nearly all teams in the NBA seem to have made an inquiry for Antetokounmpo. And with things looking set for the Bucks’ star to leave, head coach Rivers thinks otherwise.
“Giannis has said everything that we need to hear. That he wants to be a Buck, he loves the city. That’s all I can go by as a coach right now. Has it been difficult? Yeah. Your players, every day they hear stuff. You know, my favorite day of the year this year would be the day after the trade deadline. I’m looking forward to that,” said Rivers.
