Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks joined a historic list after he was announced as part of the All-NBA teams on Friday. The league announced that Antetokounmpo made the All-NBA First Team for the seventh straight season.
For this year's First Team, he joined Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ( Oklahoma City Thunder), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) and Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets).
Due to his third-place finish in the MVP Race, a slot in the All-NBA First Team was a lock for him. But it became official after the league announced the entire list of players who received the honor.
This season, he averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists. This is the third-straight year he averaged at least 30 points on more than 50% shooting from the floor. Overall, he's been selected for nine All-NBA teams in his career. However, this is the seventh consecutive year he was considered for the First Team.
According to Nathan Marzion on X, Antetokounmpo joined a historic cast of players who have made the All-NBA First Team for seven straight years.
Giannis is the 9th player since the merger (1976) to be named First Team All-NBA seven years in a row.

Marzion also posted on X that the Bucks star is included in an exclusive list in NBA history. Only Antetokounmpo and Michael Jordan have an MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and seven All-NBA First Team selections.
Antetokounmpo has continued to show his dominance in the league. This season proved that he's still one of the top talents around the association. However, his efforts weren't enough to lead the Bucks in the playoffs, and they were ousted by the Indiana Pacers in the opening round.
