Bucks' Thanasis Antetokounmpo out at least two weeks with knee injury

The Milwaukee Bucks will start their playoff journey with only one "Greek Freak" in their rotation.

Milwaukee confirmed on Tuesday that forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo, older brother of two-time reigning Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo, will miss at least two weeks of action with an avulsion fracture to his right patella tendon.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo suffered the injury in Sunday's regular-season finale at the Chicago Bulls. According to Riley Feldmann of Brew Hoop, he tweaked the knee in the third quarter of that contest.

Milwaukee finished the regular season third in the Eastern Conference standings and will face the Miami Heat in the opening round of the playoffs. The Bucks and Heat begin that series on Saturday. It's unlikely the injured Antetokounmpo will be available for any game against Miami, and he could miss even the next round of the postseason depending on his recovery.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo is a reserve forward for the Bucks who has appeared in 57 games and made three starts during the 2020-21 campaign. He is averaging 2.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 9.7 minutes per game.
