The Bulls provided injury updates on guards Anfernee Simons and Jaden Ivey, and neither appears close to returning.
Simons was recently reevaluated after suffering a left wrist fracture. The team said the 26-year-old is making progress, but he will be checked again in about 10 days.
Coach Billy Donovan said Simons was able to take some shots during shootaround last week, though he was still dealing with pain when catching or dribbling the ball.
Simons has missed the Bulls’ last 10 games after aggravating the fracture on Feb. 21. The injury originally occurred during training camp when he was with the Celtics, though he managed to play through it for much of the season.
Meanwhile, Ivey continues to recover from left knee soreness and will be reevaluated in about a week.
Ivey has missed Chicago’s last 12 games after last appearing on Feb. 11. The Bulls said he is progressing through his rehab and recently worked out with the team’s G League affiliate.
Simons is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Ivey could become a restricted free agent if Chicago extends a qualifying offer.
