Amid Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls shared the sad news that franchise legend Bob Love passed away at the age of 81 after a long battle with cancer.
Team owner Jerry Reinsdorf and president Michael Reinsdorf expressed their deep sorrows in the wake of Love's death. Both Reinsdorfs paid homage to Love's basketball prowess while remembering his greatness as a human being.

During Love's nine years in Chicago, he made three All-Star Games and two All-NBA Second Teams and averaged 21.3 points per game. Love's No. 10 is one of four numbers retired by the Bulls. In January, Love was a member of the Bulls' inaugural Ring of Honor class.
