The Chicago Bulls have been active before the Thursday trade deadline. Earlier this month, the team acquired Dario Saric in a three-team deal.
Then they traded for guards Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. in a three-team trade deal that sent Saric to the Detroit Pistons. Then the Bulls acquired Collin Sexton and Ousmane Dieng while parting ways with longtime guard Coby White and Conley.
Now, they have made another move that may excite Bulls fans.
NBA analyst Jake Fischer reported that the Chicago Bulls are signing three-time NBA Slam Dunk champion Mac McClung on a two-way contract. McClung is available for Chicago’s game against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

The athletic guard last played for the Indiana Pacers. He played in just three games for them, averaging 6.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. He was waived on Nov. 6 after the Pacers acquired veteran guard Monte Morris.
This is the second time McClung will play for Chicago. He featured in a single game during the 2021-22 regular season, scoring two points in a 131-117 win against the Atlanta Hawks on Dec. 29, 2021.
During the 2025-26 season, McClung has played in 11 games for the Bulls’ G-League affiliate, Windy City Bulls, averaging 23.5 points, 7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
He was named the G-League MVP during the 2023-24 season, when he averaged 25.2 points, 6.4 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1 steal per game for the Osceola Magic.
Apart from the Bulls and the Pacers, McClung has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic. He has put up 5.8 points, 2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in nine regular-season NBA tussles.
The newly acquired Bulls guard is the only player to win three consecutive NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contests from 2023 to 2025. McClung has said he will skip this year's event, which is set for Feb. 14 as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend.
