The Chicago Bulls have signed forward Henri Drell to a two-way NBA contract, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania . To make room for Drell among their depth group, the Bulls reportedly waived Justin Lewis.
Lewis's Bulls' tenure was marred by an unfortunate ACL injury and less-than-stellar numbers.
The Bulls will now take a chance on Drell, a 6-foot-9 forward who's averaging an impressive 12.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals in 11 Showcase Cup games. He's shooting 43.3% from the field and 30.6% from three-point range in those contests, making a case for his NBA readiness.
Drell, 23, joined the Windy City Bulls in January 2022 and has now spent parts of three seasons with Chicago’s G League affiliate. The Estonian joins Adama Sanogo and Onuralp Bitim as the Bulls' two-way players.
