Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine will have surgery on his knee in the coming weeks, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Thursday.

According to Charania, LaVine will have a scope procedure done to address a left knee issue that first plagued him back in January. The former first-round pick from the 2014 draft played through the injury in an effort to help Chicago make their first playoff appearance since 2017.
LaVine is expected to make a full recovery, which is great news for the Bulls — and for other teams interested in the 27-year-old playmaker. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, and there is a strong belief he will be poached from the Bulls once the market opens.
