Cade Cunningham Explains Why He Is The Rookie Of The Year

“I think I should be Rookie of the Year because of all the things I’ve been able to do for my team this year,” Cunningham said.

He added: “I feel like I helped my team in a lot of different ways that may not have always turned out to be wins.”

Cunningham makes a good point: he has helped his team in ways that weren’t strictly winning.

Because as good as he is, the Pistons still aren’t winning a lot.

Cunningham’s Career

During his short time in the league, Cunningham has put up 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists a game.

He has also put up an average of 1.2 steals per game, which is an impressive number for someone who just entered the NBA.

That being said, the Pistons ended the season in 14th place with a record of 23-59.

They are still a long way off from being ready for the playoffs.

But Cunningham has brought some youthful energy to the team – as well as a direction they want to head in.

The Pistons will be built around Cunningham over the next few years and has given fans – and players – reason to be hopeful about the team’s future.

He may not be Rookie of the Year but Cunningham is definitely something special for the Pistons.
