Caitlin Clark has established herself as the centerpiece of the Indiana Fever after being selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Following a historic run at Iowa Hawkeyes, where she became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, Clark transitioned seamlessly into the pros, winning Rookie of the Year and emerging as the face of the franchise. She has driven record attention to the league and elevated the Fever into one of the WNBA’s most watched teams.
Her popularity has naturally extended into Indiana’s sports culture, particularly with the city’s NBA team, the Indiana Pacers. Clark has been a regular presence at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, often attending Pacers games. She famously showed up to support the team during last season’s NBA Finals when Indiana faced the Oklahoma City Thunder.
On Wednesday, she made another appearance at the arena when the Pacers hosted LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, however, she took on a surprise role.
Clark was credentialed as a guest photographer, positioned along the baseline where she actively shot in-game moments, including sequences involving James.
The moment quickly went viral online, with clips of Clark working behind the camera circulating widely.
On Thursday, Clark shared photos she personally captured of James to her fans on X with the caption: “The KING … Shot by ME.”

Clark has built an off-court relationship with James over the years. She has publicly referred to him as the greatest of all time, while James has repeatedly shown support for her rise, even encouraging her during key moments in her career and backing her through adversity.
Both stars are also Nike athletes and are considered among the most influential athletes in their respective sports.
