Cameron Carr boosts draft stock after dropping 30 points in combine scrimmage

As the 2026 NBA Draft Combine continues, former Baylor star Cameron Carr made a statement in a 5-on-5 scrimmage game on Wednesday.

As he helped Team Rivers take down Team Weems 105-99, Carr erupted for 30 points and seven rebounds while shooting 9-of-18 from the field and 6-of-12 from beyond the arc.

At 6’4.5″ without shoes along with a wingspan over seven feet long, Carr is an explosive shooting guard who’s overall offensive versatility was on display Wednesday.

He already proved himself as an outside shooter by knocking down 36% of his three-point attempts at Baylor last season, but Wednesday’s outburst certainly helped his draft stock even further.

As an elite athlete with terrific finishing skills around the rim, he’s become a proficient scorer at all three levels.

Up to this point, Carr has been projected as a potential late first-rounder and even in the early portion of the second round.

After his tremendous outing in Wednesday’s scrimmage to go along with impressive team workouts and solid measurements, don’t be shocked to see him slide up to the top 20 and even into the back end of the lottery.
