The Cavaliers say Max Strus is taking a step forward in his recovery.
The team announced that Strus has progressed to individual on-court activities after recent imaging showed continued healing in his surgically repaired left foot.
As part of the next phase, Strus will begin controlled team activities and practice sessions with both the Cavs and their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. The team said he remains out with no official timetable while continuing the rehabilitation process.

Strus has not appeared in a game during the 2025-26 season after undergoing the procedure on his foot.
The veteran wing, 29, appeared in 50 games for Cleveland last season, averaging 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists while serving as a key rotation piece.
His eventual return could provide a boost for a Cavs team that has championship aspirations after acquiring James Harden in a blockbuster trade last month.
