Cavs President Of Basketball Ops Koby Altman Set To Meet With Media
Ken Blaze-Imagn Images

Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman will soon meet with reporters to discuss the state of things following a playoff letdown.

Altman and GM Mike Gansey, of course, deserve tons of credit for hiring the right coach in Kenny Atkinson and building a strong locker-room culture.

They also put together a whale of a roster, with the Cavs finishing an Eastern Conference-best 64-18. That included a 15-0 start and a winning streak of 16 games later in the season.

Altman finished second in NBA Executive of the Year voting (to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Sam Presti). Hard to believe, but Altman has been running the basketball side of things since 2018. He has spent his entire NBA front office career with the Cavs, joining the organization in 2012 and rising through the ranks.

The question on everyone’s mind is whether Altman feels the need for major changes after the Cavs fell to the Indiana Pacers in five games in the East semifinals.

Altman’s press conference is set for 11 a.m. EST. I’ll be there, offering updates on X and more posts on Hoops Wire about the Cavaliers and the rest of the NBA throughout the day.
