The NBA released their entire schedule for the 2023-24 season last week which has sparked many predictions on where different teams will finish.

Positive Residual ranked the strength of each schedule in the NBA. The calculations have the Cleveland Cavaliers as having the fourth-easiest schedule in the league and the second-easiest in the Eastern Conference

Only the Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, and Boston Celtics are projected to have an easier schedule.

These forecasts are based on the team's home team strength, visiting team strength, how rested the opponent is, how far each team has traveled, and the altitude of the home arena.

If there Cavs truly do have one of the easier schedules in the NBA, there are a couple of takeaways we can make.

One is that Cleveland is in a good position to finish with a high seed in their conference which could help them clinch home-court advantage. But a consequence of having an easy schedule could be not experiencing as many high-intensity moments that could help the team grow clutch moments.

One thing's for sure easy schedule or not: any team in the NBA has the talent to win on any given night, so the Cavs have to be prepared every game.
