Celtics center Enes Kanter to join WWE after NBA retirement

Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter turns only 28 years old before the end of this month, but he's already thinking about his post-NBA career.

While speaking with Stadium's Shams Charania on Wednesday, Kanter explained that he'll be headed to World Wrestling Entertainment once he calls time on his playing career:

"I'm definitely becoming a WWE wrestler, for sure," Kanter said. "I already have these offers from WWE, but hey dude, I've got to finish my basketball career first. After my career, I'm definitely becoming one."

Kanter is already familiar with in-ring action. During a September 2019 edition of "Raw," he won and then lost the WWE 24/7 Championship during the same segment:

Earlier that year, Kanter trained with former WWE and World Championship Wrestling star Diamond Dallas Page:

As Paul Davis of Ringside News noted, Kanter dated WWE performer Dana Brooke for a period of time.
