Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Believes He’s Having Best Season Of His Career
Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

After the Boston Celtics defeated the Phoenix Suns, Jaylen Brown told NBA reporters that he believes he’s having the best season of his career.

Brown is shooting a career-high 50.2% from the field this season for the Celtics, who have the best record in the NBA at 52-14

Brown is averaging 23.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists this season while shooting 50.2% from the floor, 35.4% from beyond the arc and 70.4% from the free-throw line. He has five double-doubles and one triple-double.

The Celtics are the first team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot this season. They’re on pace for the franchise’s first 60-win season since they went 62-20 in 2008-09.

With a 9.5-game lead entering Thursday (3/14), the Celtics are headed for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Their playoff draw could be dangerous, though, with the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat among a group of talented teams in the mix for the play-in tournament.

The Celtics lost to the Heat in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals in seven games. In 2022, Boston lost to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals despite having a 2-1 series lead.

Brown and Jayson Tatum are one of the best duos in the NBA. The two All-Stars have had tremendous success together, but they are still looking to win their first championship.

It will be interesting to see how far the Celtics go in the 2024 playoffs.
