Prior to facing the Miami Heat on Monday night, the Boston Celtics announced an injury update on star guard Jaylen Brown

The Celtics star is currently nursing a knee injury and entered the day as a game-time decision. About an hour before tip-off, Boston posted its official injury report, ruling Brown out of the lineup.

Brown will be joined by Torrey Craig, who is currently battling an ankle injury, and Jrue Holiday who's nursing a right shoulder impingement, on the sideline.

So far this season, Brown has averaged 22.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 46.1% from the field and 32.4% from three.

Celtics star Jayson Tatum was also listed as a gametime decision, but Boston announced that their star forward will be available, after working through a right patella injury.

Brown, Holiday and Craig will have an opportunity to return to the lineup when the Celtics play the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
