The Boston Celtics took care of business against the Utah Jazz on Monday night, notching the team's 47th win of the season with a 114-108 final score at the TD Garden.

Before tipoff on Monday night, Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum was downgraded to "out" win a knee injury. That being said, Boston was able to look elsewhere for scoring production in this impressive victory.

Fourth-year small forward Sam Hauser led the way for the Celtics in the scoring column, recording a game-high 33 points on 9/19 shooting from behind the three-point arc. The 27-year-old sharpshooter also reeled in six rebounds.

These 33 points mark a career high for Hauser, who joined the Celtics as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 NBA draft.

The Celtics recognized Hauser's stellar play, announcing him as the team's Player of the Game.

"A career-high night for Sam. Tonight's @Gatorade Player of the Game was dialed in from deep," the team wrote on X.

With Tatum out, the Celtics desperately needed this scoring output from Hauser. Jaylen Brown did his part for the reigning NBA champions, recording 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in Monday night's win over the Jazz.

Hauser's three-point shooting played a major part in the Celtics' run to a championship last year. After the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, he signed a lucrative four-year, $45 million extension with the Boston franchise.

Hauser is averaging 7.3 points on 39.6% shooting from behind the three-point arc through 20.5 minutes per game so far this season.

The Celtics will look to keep their current five-game win streak alive in a highly-anticipated matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.
