Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are yet again seen as top contenders to win the NBA title.

On Tuesday, Tatum, Jaylen Brown and the Celtics were set to face the New York Knicks. Boston entered the game sitting at No. 2 in the Eastern Conference standings with a 58-20 record, riding a two-game win streak.

New York was ranked as the No. 3 team in the Eastern Conference standings with a 50-28 record.

Before the primetime game tipped off between two of the most storied franchises in the NBA, the Celtics revealed that Tatum and Brown are available to play

Brown was recently listed as questionable, nursing a right knee posterior impingement, while Tatum was previously dealing with a left ankle sprain.

So far this season, Tatum has averaged 26.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. He's posting his career-best assist mark, establishing himself as one of the most underrated facilitators in the game.

Brown has averaged 22.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

The Celtics duo will look to help Boston make its second straight NBA Finals appearance. Boston hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy last season after defeating the Dallas Mavericks in a five-game series.

Their matchup for the first round of the playoffs has yet to be decided.
