The Celtics will sign Ron Harper Jr. to a two-year contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports (Twitter link).
Harper, who is currently on a two-way deal, has played 26 games for the Celtics this season, after spending the previous three years with the Raptors and Pistons.
The 6’5″ forward is averaging 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game, with a majority of his games played coming in the second half of the season.
Keith Smith of Spotrac notes (via Twitter) that Harper will be signed at the prorated three-year veteran’s minimum amount, which will allow the Celtics to stay under the luxury tax while filling their 15th roster spot with another prorated veteran minimum player.
