Celtics vs. Pacers same-game parlay: +571 SGP for Eastern Conference Finals Game 3 for Sat. 5/25

Sports writers at Action Network tend to have a talent for winning bets. Well, let’s take some of their +EV bets and put them in a same game parlay.

Each day, we have best bets from our NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB analysts who cover sides, totals and niche markets like player prop bets. As recreational bettors, we all like to occasionally indulge in our degenerate side. So, when the time comes, let’s do it responsibly and create a fun, low-stakes SGP.

For today’s same game parlay, we’ll take a look at Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Celtics and Pacers, which is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC on Saturday, May 25.

Celtics vs. Pacers Game 3 Same Game Parlay

  • Celtics Team Total Over 114.5 (-110)
  • Al Horford Over 7.5 Rebounds (+102)
  • Derrick White Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-135)

Parlay Odds: +571

Celtics Team Total Over 114.5 (-110, DraftKings)

Celtics vs. Pacers Game 3, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC

By Chris Baker

The Celtics are in a great spot to take a 3-0 lead as Tyrese Haliburton will likely be less than 100% if he plays and the Pacers seemingly have no answers for the Celtics' offense. The Celtics have shot the ball average, by their standards, but it hasn’t mattered as they've dominated the Pacers on the offensive glass, rebounding about 32% of their misses through two games.

Boston's offense is hard enough to stop for one shot, but when teams allow multiple shots, the Celtics are nearly impossible to stop. The Pacers must find a way to improve their defensive rebounding and get out in transition if they want to avoid going down 3-0.

Monitor the injury report as Haliburton is questionable with a left hamstring injury. Haliburton left Game 2 late in the third quarter and did not return. So, without knowing Haliburton’s status, I like Celtics Team Total Over 114.5. Boston has shown it can score at will against this weak Pacers' defense.

The Pacers will continue to struggle with or without Haliburton, as McConnell is also a poor defender at the point of attack. The Celtics have cleared this in both games and I just don’t see the Pacers having any answers for the greatest offense in NBA history. Trust the Celtics to reach 115 in Game 3.

Pick: Celtics Team Total Over 114.5 (-110)

Al Horford Over 7.5 Rebounds (+102 DraftKings)

Celtics vs. Pacers Game 3,  8:30 p.m. ET, ABC

The Boston Celtics escaped Game 1 with a come from behind overtime victory and then dismantled the Pacers in Game 2. They are still playing without Kristaps Porzingis tonight, but he could return for Game 4. With Porzingis still out of the lineup, that will secure the volume of playing time and production for Celtics' veteran center Al Horford.

Through the first two games, Horford is averaging a near double-double with 10.5 points and eight rebounds per game. He has not shot the ball very well, but our focus for this player prop is Horford on the glass. In his 19 games played this season without Porzingis, Horford is averaging exactly seven rebounds per game, which is nearly one full rebound more per game than playing alongside Porzingis. There are so many rebound opportunities in this matchup.

During the regular season, the Pacers ranked 24th in rebounding percentage at 49.2%. They have improved that total in the postseason to 49.6%, but given their up-tempo style of play, the Pacers are prone to giving up a plethora of rebounds. The Pacers ranked second in pace and led the league with 92.7 field goal attempts per game this season.

Our player prop model has Horford projected to pull down 8.4 rebounds per game, which makes him one of the best value props on the board. Getting plus-money on this rebounds prop feels like a steal after Horford had 10 rebounds in Game 2 in only 25 minutes of play. The Pacers frontcourt lacks size and strength, which makes this a fantastic matchup for the veteran center. Lay the juice on Horford over 7.5 rebounds tonight in Game 3.

Pick: Al Horford Over 7.5 Rebounds (+102)

Derrick White Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-135, DraftKings)

Celtics vs. Pacers Game 3, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC

The Boston Celtics are sharing the Tyrese Haliburton responsibilities, with Jrue Holiday being 1A in the on-ball efforts. That leaves Derrick White as an off-ball roamer on defense, which means he crashes for rebounds and often brings the ball up. White's rebound prop has already been priced out, as you are now playing juice on an over 4.5 line, but his offense looks are simply easier.

White has proven to be a difficult shot-maker, and I expect him to get volume on better quality attempts. If Haliburton is active, I'm also looking at White and other Celtics players for 3-Point Stat Leader around +400 or greater, if you are feeling frisky.

Pick: Derrick White Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-135)
