The Boston Celtics are on the rise at the moment. Having missed out on the NBA championship narrowly last year, this year, Boston is coming in full throttle. Seeded second in the East, the Celtics are 43-23. And despite suffering an injury setback in Nikola Vucevic, the team is looking on course for a positive run.

On the contrary, there is not much to be said about the Washington Wizards. Lingering at 14th place in the East, Washington is 16-49 at the moment. As the team will be trying to put up a fight against the mighty Celtics, it will require a significant effort from their side.

What Are The Predictions For The Celtics vs. Wizards Game?

What Are The Predictions For The Celtics vs. Wizards Game?

The big news coming from the Boston Celtics’ camp is the return of Jayson Tatum. With Bill Simmons correctly predicting Tatum’s return, the team is looking stronger than ever before. Even before the 28-year-old made his return, the Celtics were surging ahead with some incredible performances courtesy of Jaylen Brown. And if their offense looks amazing, the team’s defense is equally impressive.

Take, for example, Derrick White. Back in February, the 6’6” star earned the honor of the Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month. Averaging a career-best 1.4 blocks in the season, it looks like there is very little weakness to be addressed within the team. Surprisingly, despite things looking all rosy, the recent form will keep the team concerned.

They have now lost two consecutive games, the last one coming against the Oklahoma City Thunder. And that is exactly what the Washington Wizards would want to exploit. Bruised and battered following Bam Adebayo’s 83-point night, the team will surely look to bounce back soon. However, they faltered in their recent game, having lost 131-136 against the Orlando Magic. Additionally, the last time they met with Boston in December 2025, Washington got owned 146-101.

What Are The Head-to-Head Stats For The Celtics vs. Wizards Game?

The Wizards and Celtics have a significant rivalry in the NBA. Having played 328 times in the regular season, Boston holds the expected advantage with 208 wins. On the contrary, Wizards have won on 120 occasions. Unfortunately for the Wizards, they have failed to win since the 2022-23 season. The last time Washington beat the Celtics was in March 2023, when the score was 130-111. Having lost 10 games on the trot, the Trae Young and co. will be desperate to register their 121st victory soon.
