The Celtics have finalized a series of cuts, placing Hayden Gray, Milos Uzan, Gabe McGlothan, and Tucker DeVries on waivers, according to NBA.com’s transaction log.

All four players were in training camp with Boston on Exhibit 10 contracts. The Celtics’ other camp invitee, Devin Carter, is having his Exhibit 10 deal converted to a two-way contract before the regular season begins.

As a result of today’s cuts, the Celtics now have 17 players under contract, including 14 on standard deals, so once Carter’s conversion is official, their roster will be ready for opening night. The team has always been expected to leave an open spot on its standard 15-man roster, since carrying a 15th man would’ve pushed its salary above the luxury tax line.

All four players waived today by the Celtics appeared in at least two preseason games, with Uzan (8.0 points in 14.1 minutes per game) and Gray (6.5 points and 4.0 assists in 15.7 minutes per game) putting up the strongest numbers of the group in their limited roles.

Uzan, Gray, McGlothan, and DeVries are all expected to reports to the Maine Celtics in the G League, where their Exhibit 10 deals will make them eligible to earn bonuses worth $91K apiece as long as they spend at least 60 days with Boston’s affiliate.
