Charles Barkley has warning for Lakers

Charles Barkley has a funny warning for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barkley joined “The Dan Patrick Show” on Wednesday and talked about the in-season tournament. Barkley called the inaugural tournament “a resounding success,” but he scoffed at the idea of a team putting up a banner to celebrate winning the tournament.

“It was a resounding success. But we not raising banners. We’re not doing parades,” Barkley said. “You don’t do champagne for the in-season tournament.”

Barkley then shared his warning: if the Lakers raise a banner for winning the tournament, he will mock them on TNT.

“If you’re the Lakers or the Celtics, only thing matters is more championships. The Lakers better not put up an in-season banner. If they do that, I’m gonna roast their a– on TV.”

It sure sounds like Barkley will get his opportunity. The Lakers reportedly have decided they will hang a banner that will celebrate their in-season tournament win.

The Lakers will have some company in the realm of embarrassing banners.
