Chet Holmgren 2025-26 Fantasy Outlook: Health is the Main Blockade against a Elite Season?
- Chet Holmgren (7) reacts to teammates during the Thunder Media Day for the 25-26 NBA season at the Paycom Center Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.

The Thunder won the championship in 2024-25 by being the best team in the association throughout, and even though Chet Holmgren missed a good chunk of the season due to a fractured hip last season, He was still a productive cog in the fantasy machine in 2024-25, even with that injury. The potential impact of Holmgren at the defensive end of the floor is the major selling point for him in fantasy and will be the selling point this season as he’s still going to be the third scoring option in OKC behind SGA and Jalen Williams. Here’s more context on his fantasy outlook.

Chet Holmgren 2024-25 Production

Holmgren averaged 15 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.4 three-pointers made per game in the 2024-25 season in 32 games played. Like I mentioned in the intro, the fractured hip early in the season was the reason for only playing 32 games, so the injuries is something to keep an eye on with him in fantasy. His minutes also dropped from 29.4 to 27.4, so when he did play, it was a struggle for minutes because the Thunder were so dominant, led by MVP SGA. With that being said, let’s look ahead to the 2025-26 season.

Chet Holmgren 2025-26 Projections

Holmgren is projected on ESPN to average 17.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 1.6 three-pointers made per game on 49.9% shooting from the field this upcoming season. ESPN is also seeing his minutes tick up from 27.4 to 31.0 minutes per game, which would be a great godsend for the potential owners of the NBA champion with 68 games in the cards, maybe.

If he stays healthy for 68 games, that would be a great value for him because other than the 82-game season in 2023-24, he’s only played in 32 games out of the other 164 games he could’ve played in in his career to this point.

Final Thoughts

The Thunder big man is going to be in a great spot in the 2025-26 season in terms of potential fantasy production, especially if his health is 10 times better than it was last year. But if he gets injured once again for a period of time, that would be catastrophic for his owner and beneficial to the Isiash Hartenstein waiver market or Jalen Williams stock as well. So we shall see how this plays out this upcoming season. For more NBA fantasy outlooks, follow along with Total Apex Fantasy and Bets for more 2025-26 Outlooks.
