We have reached the end of the line — and the end of the bench — in our Chicago Bulls 2021-22 player grades. Of course, we’re talking about Matt Thomas, who signed a one-year deal with the Bulls in September 2021.

During his first season in Chicago, the 27-year-old averaged a career-high 11.5 MPG and 4.0 PPG while shooting 38.5% from three.

Aside from draining an occasional three, Thomas didn’t make much of an impact on the Bulls. His defensive presence was nonexistent, which frequently drew ire from fans.

Matt Thomas appeared in 40 regular-season games and did not see the court in the playoffs for the Chicago Bulls. Had he shot lights-out, perhaps his 2021-22 season grade would have been passable. But alas, that was not the case.
