The combination of Zach LaVine's name and trade rumors is far from a new storyline within the Bulls organization. On Nov 14, 2023, reporting surfaced from The Athletic that both LaVine and the Bulls had mutual interest in exploring trade opportunities.
Over the course of the 2023-2024 NBA regular season, LaVine's name was linked in trade rumors to multiple NBA franchises such as the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, and Detroit Pistons.
The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons are reportedly talking about a deal which would see Zach LaVine end up in Detroit while Bojan Bogdanović would end up in Chicago.
