Chicago Bulls Make A Roster Move Before Heat Game
USA TODAY Sports

On Monday evening, the Chicago Bulls  will host the Miami Heat at the United Center in Illinois.

Before the game, the team announced that they had made a roster move.

Via The Windy City Bulls: "The @chicagobulls have recalled forward Julian Phillips."

Phillips was the 35th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Tennessee.

He has played in five games for the Bulls so far but is only averaging 2.8 minutes of playing time.

Last season (in college), Phillips averaged 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 23.9% from the three-point range in 32 games.

He has also played in two G League games and is averaging 16.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range.

As for the Bulls, they are 5-9 in their first 14 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 4-5 in the nine games they have played at home, and most recently defeated the Heat by a score of 102-97 (also at the United Center) on Saturday evening.

DeMar DeRozan led the way with 23 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 6/12 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.

Following the Heat, the Bulls will play their next game against Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday evening in Oklahoma.
