Opening frame was another classic Bulls v. Raptors rock fight:

Instead of fighting rocks with rocks, the Bulls launched a boulder in the second quarter of the game via their bench contributions. Patrick Williams (11), Matas Buzelis (12), Jalen Smith (17), and Dalen Terry (10) all scored in double figures.

Within the Bulls' bench assault was the continued progression of Bulls rookie wing Matas Buzelis. Buzelis was flashy, yet efficient in his scoring, shooting 50% from the field on eight field goal attempts.

Buzelis made his presence known early in the game, checking into the game at the 7:56 minute mark of the first quarter. Two of Buzelis' three-game blocks happened in the first quarter, with one of the blocks initiating a transition three-point make finished by Buzelis himself.

Buzelis' rapid securing of head coach Billy Donovan's trust was well illustrated in Buzelis' 26:04 game minutes, which also registered the highest Bulls plus-minus of any Bulls player that checked into the game at +18.
The Bulls continue their road trip with a Sunday matinee game against their traditional rival Detroit Pistons. The Bulls lead the Pistons 1-0 in the 2024-25 regular season series against the Pistons.
Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on Chicago Sports Network (CHSN).
