Every Minnesota Timberwolves fan was terrified when Anthony Edwards did not stand up after Trayce Jackson-Davis accidentally landed on his left ankle. It was a scary situation, especially since Edwards is the team's superstar.
Thankfully for the fans, Edwards quickly recovered in the locker room. It was a tough sight, even for head coach Chris Finch, who feared the worst for his superstar shooting guard.
The Timberwolves' system is built around Edwards. He is the team's superstar, so it is not surprising that Finch feared the injury because he would lose the team's primary engine in the Playoffs.
Thankfully, Finch will not need to make big adjustments because Edwards is fine. However, Julius Randle did have a standout Game 2 performance that showed what the Timberwolves would have looked like without Edwards.

While Edwards is known for shaking off injuries, the accident in the second quarter looked bad. Jackson-Davis did not mean it, but he is a big man who landed on another player's ankle.
That could have been worse, but Edwards has a strong enough body to withstand that kind of contact. Finch knows Ant is tough, but it was a scary event that he thought could have been disastrous for everyone.
"This one I was really worried about actually, I mean there are a lot of ways being an elite athlete and being able to shake those things off is certainly one of them but this one I was really planning on not seeing him for the rest of the game," Finch said after Game 2.
The Warriors mounted some sort of comeback in the third quarter, but Edwards, Randle, and the rest of the team cruised to the win after. That would have been scarier if Edwards had not been there to help the team settle as the Warriors tried to catch up.
Since Edwards came out unscathed after the game, he will want to establish himself in Game 3. He had a decent performance in Game 2, but he wants to put his stamp on the game and prove he is the best player in the series.
Stephen Curry's injury could bode well for the Timberwolves, but that does not mean Ant and his team will remove their foot from the gas pedal. They want to keep going, so they won't let that get in the way.

Edwards will want to cement himself as one of the NBA's best players. He already beat Luka Doncic and LeBron James in the previous series, so winning against the Warriors should be another achievement he is looking forward to getting.
