Chris Paul's wife takes shot at Clippers

Chris Paul and his family appear to be harboring some hard feelings toward the Los Angeles Clippers over their handling of Paul’s December exit.

The Clippers posted a tribute video to Paul after the legendary point guard officially announced his retirement on Friday.

That did not necessarily go over well with many fans, who were quick to point out that the Clippers essentially drove Paul into retirement by sending him home in what was meant to be his final NBA season.

Among those critics were Paul’s wife Jada. She responded to the Clippers’ tribute with a dismissive “girl, bye.”

One can certainly understand the hard feelings. Paul joined the Clippers to play one final season while living with his wife and children, and the organization was strongly criticized for the way they handled his departure. To date, Paul has not said much about the situation, though he dropped some hints about his feelings on social media.

Paul’s decision to retire led to another wave of criticism aimed at the Clippers. One can understand why they wanted to post a tribute video, but the decision only seems to have alienated people more.
