Cleveland Cavaliers insider Chris Fedor believes that Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen are no longer considered untouchables by the team’s front office in the trade market.

Garland and Allen were once viewed as integral building blocks, but the Cleveland Cavaliers may have changed their minds following the duo’s shortcomings this playoffs.

“I just think the Cavs are at a point, where they’ve got some hard decisions to make because of the realities of the salary cap and the realities of the second apron. There are three potential second apron teams in the NBA. It’s Boston, it’s Phoenix, and it’s Cleveland,” Fedor said on the Wine and Gold Talk Podcast.

“I think the two untouchables are Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley,” he added. “I have been getting the sense that the Cavs would be more willing to entertain and at least consider possibilities for Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland than they have in the past.”

Cleveland Cavaliers insider proposes interesting trade with the Orlando Magic

Cleveland Cavaliers insider Chris Fedor outlined a potential trade that would send Darius Garland to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jalen Suggs and Tristan da Silva. The hypothetical deal would add to Cleveland’s perimeter defense, while Orlando would get a much-needed offensive boost at the guard position.

“I understand that Jalen Suggs is not as good of a player as Darius. I understand that Jalen Suggs is not as naturally gifted or talented as Darius, but he brings a lot of stuff that this team would benefit from,” Fedor said about Suggs.

“He can handle. He can distribute, he can guard his butt off, he can shoot from the perimeter, he can drive, and he gives you more size, more toughness, more tenacity,” he added.
