The Cleveland Cavaliers are making some headlines at the moment. Just a few days back, the Cavaliers made headlines by landing James Harden in a blockbuster trade from the Los Angeles Clippers. Now then, with just days after the big news, the franchise has made the news again. But this time, for a more serious reason.
The Cavaliers are the only team having a raised court in the NBA. This meant that the arena floor was lower than the playing area by a good few inches. Struggling to adjust to the difference, Luka Doncic recently fell and almost had a brutal injury. Receiving scrutiny from the NBA, the franchise is reportedly making amends for the same.
“After receiving league-wide scrutiny for their raised court, the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially made adjustments to the floor. The NBA decided to look for solutions with the team after Luka Doncic almost badly injured his leg after falling off the court,” read the recent update.

Surely, this is a welcome step towards players’ comfort. Meanwhile, apart from Harden, the Cavaliers also explored a trade involving Lonzo Ball.
The Cavaliers seem to be pushing for nothing but to win. And the Harden trade was a stark example of the same. However, the franchise did not remain content with Harden. They also wanted to add more quality to their roster. According to reports, a trade involving Ball was heavily discussed by the front office.
“The Nets looked but did not find a suitable offer for Cam Thomas. There had been talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a deal that would have sent Lonzo Ball to Brooklyn, league sources said, but that did not go far and Thomas might not have stayed with the Cavaliers even if it had happened. Ball was shuttled off to Utah for cap relief,” read the report.
