The Los Angeles Clippers have been playing better as of late, winning six of their last seven matchups as they look to get back into playoff contention in the Western Conference.

While Kawhi Leonard playing at an MVP-level has certainly contributed, fellow superstar James Harden has also been playing incredibly well. Harden has been a consistent presence all year, keeping the team afloat despite numerous injuries.

Through 32 games, the 36-year-old left-handed sharpshooter has posted 25.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists while shooting 43.4% from the field and 35.8% from beyond the arc.

Harden’s value lies in his ability to control the tempo, orchestrate the offense and create opportunities both for himself and his teammates.

His combination of scoring, playmaking and veteran leadership has provided the Clippers with stability and balance, ensuring they remain competitive even when shorthanded.

Los Angeles is looking to get back on track Monday against the Golden State Warriors after suffering a lopsided 146–115 defeat to the Boston Celtics on Saturday. The challenge may grow steeper, however, as there is a chance the Clippers will be without Harden.

The team announced its injury report ahead of the matchup and officially downgraded Harden due to right shoulder soreness, leaving his status in doubt (h/t Joey Linn of On SI).

He has been given a questionable designation, casting uncertainty over whether the point guard will be available to provide his usual scoring and playmaking presence.

Harden’s journey through the NBA has been defined by sustained excellence and evolution, with his impact in Los Angeles serving as the latest chapter in a storied career.

Across 17 seasons, he has compiled 11 All-Star selections, three scoring titles, eight All-NBA honors and one MVP award. Yet despite his decorated career, he continues to search for his first NBA Finals appearance while now playing for his fifth organization.

Time is running short as Harden enters the later stages of his career, but he remains near the peak of his powers, a testament to his remarkable longevity.

The Clippers will hope that his recent bout of right shoulder soreness does not develop into a more significant setback, as they cannot afford to lose him with the team sitting at 12–22 and facing little margin for error.
