Clippers, Heat, Jazz agree to trade involving Norman Powell

Another NBA trade is among us. This time it involves the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, the Utah Jazz, and a few players, including Norman Powell.

The trade involves sending Powell to the Heat, John Collins to the Clippers, while Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love land with the Jazz. Utah also secures a 2027 second-round draft pick.

This trade will help the Heat, as they look to truly replace Jimmy Butler, who was traded to the Golden State Warriors last season. Powell is a great shooter, connecting on 41.8% of his three-pointers last year.

He is also a solid scorer, averaging a career-high 21.8 points per game last season for the Clippers. Powell was a great replacement for Paul George, but LA found themselves struggling inside with size against the Denver Nuggets.

John Collins will help the Clippers in that area, as he brings size and toughness to the power forward position. As for the Jazz, they are expected to keep Anderson but will likely release Love, either by a buy-out or a possible trade.

The NBA offseason can be a wild time for players and fans alike. Stay tuned as more trades pour in.
