Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard reached another career milestone on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Leonard led the Clippers to a 129-96 win over the Bucks with his 28-point performance. It was the team's 36th win of the 2025-26 season, as they continue to climb the Western Conference standings.

Los Angeles has worked hard to improve their record after an underwhelming 5-15 start to the campaign. The Clippers made a few moves to their roster and performed better on the court. Now, the team could secure a spot in the Play-In Tournament to extend their season.

Against the Bucks, Leonard shot three 3-pointers, which set a new career-high for him in shooting from deep.

Although Leonard only shot 30.0% from deep, the star forward reached a new milestone in his career. He now has set a new career-high in 3-pointers made with 149. His previous career-best was during the 2016-17 season, when he was still with the San Antonio Spurs. The star forward made 147 shots from downtown that year.

This season, Leonard is having the best season of his career. The two-time Finals MVP is averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.0 steals. The Clippers star has been determined to lead the team to a competitive finish and remain part of the postseason.

Kawhi Leonard Speaks Highly of the Clippers Following the Win Against Bucks

The Clippers' win over the Bucks was a dominant showing. Aside from Leonard, his teammates also stepped their game up. Four other players scored in double digits, including Brook Lopez, Darius Garland, Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller.

The two-time champion strongly believes the Clippers can go toe-to-toe against any team. After the win, Leonard spoke highly of his group.

“This group likes to play basketball,” Leonard said. “They love to have fun out there and compete. And we're not scared of nobody. Even if they're more talented or the record's better, we still want to go out and compete and try to have pride in playing and being competitive out there.”

The Clippers are in the middle of a strong month, going 9-5. LA has also outperformed a few playoff teams during the month, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks.

Leonard and the group have remained strong despite losing players like Bradley Beal, Chris Paul and James Harden. The Clippers have gone through a lot since the season started, but their goal remains the same: to contend for the NBA championship.
