The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Lakers after a hard-fought battle on Friday night. Missing the opportunity to get one over their rivals while improving to .500 for the first time in three months certainly hurts, but it's the least of the Clippers' concerns right now.

With four and a half minutes left in the fourth quarter, Kawhi Leonard told head coach Ty Lue that he couldn't keep playing and was seen favoring his right foot. He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game with left ankle soreness. The Clippers put up an admirable fight and had the chance to tie the game in regulation, but came up short.

After the game, Lue addressed Leonard's early exit. He said that the star forward was dealing with ankle soreness going into the game and "it got stiff on him," per Clippers insider
