Clippers' Paul George leaves game with groin injury
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Clippers forward Paul George left Los Angeles' Tuesday game against the visiting Sacramento Kings before the start of the second half with a sore left groin and did not return.

After the Clippers won 119-99, coach Tyronn Lue said George could have returned in the second half, though he had no update on the veteran's condition.

George had nine points on 3-of-7 shooting in 16 first-half minutes and added six rebounds.

The Clippers had been finding their stride of late with George, Kawai Leonard and James Harden in the starting lineup and Russell Westbrook coming off the bench. Los Angeles is 10-3 since Nov. 17.

George, 33, had scored at least 20 points in each of his previous four games. He is averaging 22.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 23 games this season.
