Clippers rookie PG Jason Preston expected to miss 'significant part' of season following foot surgery

Los Angeles Clippers rookie point guard Jason Preston is out indefinitely following foot surgery that was conducted on Thursday.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski had the details.

Preston was selected by the Orlando Magic in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft, but was subsequently traded to the Clippers in exchange for cash and 2026 second-round pick, which is owned by the Detroit Pistons.

The 22-year-old spent three seasons playing for the Ohio University men's basketball team, averaging 12.6 points, 5.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds over 82 career games. He was named to the MAC All-Freshman team in 2019, the All-MAC second team in 2020 and the All-MAC first team in 2021.

Other point guards on the Clippers roster include Reggie Jackson and Eric Bledsoe.
